All Three Proposals Pass League Vote
August 4, 2008
All three rule changes proposed to the league ownership passed through with votes to spare in each case.
With the changes now approved, the league trading period has been opened up to include the entire offseason, allowing teams to make moves prior to declaring keepers after the 2008 season. The other two proposals will changes lineups, with the introduction of a flex position to replace the second running back. The flex position can be filled by a running back, wide receiver or tight end, giving more flexibility to lineups and roster management. The other rule change reduces roster sizes from 16 to 14, which works in conjunction with the lineup change. |
