The proposal to update Rule 20 (Bonus Points rule) has passed by a margin of 11-3. This will combine rushing and receiving yards for bonus point calculations, such that a combined 100 yards of rushing and receiving earns two points, with another point awarded for each additional combined 25 yards. This change figures to add one or two points per game to the average of a few running backs, particularly those that provide both a rushing and receiving threat.
