North American Football League
Jordan, Portis Share Week 7 Honors
October 25, 2005
Arizona Hellcats RB Lamont Jordan and San Diego Storm RB Clinton Portis each scored 20 points in their respective teams' victories this weekend. Jordan helped the Hellcats to a 50-29 win over North Carolina, while Portis' breakout game helped San Diego notch a 57-36 win over Kentucky.

Other big scorers for Week 7 include: New York RB Edgerrin James (15 points); Arizona PK Lawrence Tynes (14 points); Minneapolis RB Steven Jackson (12 points); South Bend QB Michael Vick (12 points); Las Vegas RB Priest Holmes (12 points); Washington QB Mark Brunell (12 points).

Keeping an eye on the leaderboard, Casper QB Donovan McNabb remains the league's top quarterback with 60 points in six games. Iowa QB Peyton Manning holds the second spot with 44 points and Rhode Island sophomore QB Ben Roethlisberger sits in third with 42 points.

At running back South Bend RB LaDanian Tomlinson and Arizona RB Shaun Alexander remain in the 1-2 positions despite each player being held without any points this week. New York RB Edgerrin James has 36 points in his last two games and sits in the number three slot with 61 points.

Despite a week off Washington WR Steve Smith is still the league's top receiver with 53 points over the first six games. Beyond Smith, there are a number players in the high 30's, such as Arizona WR Terrell Owens, Rhode Island WR Plaxico Burress and Novato WR Chad Johnson.

There's not much production to speak of at the tight end position so far this year, although Washington TE Jeremy Shockey and San Diego TE Antonio Gates hold the top two spots.

Portland PK Neil Rackers is far and away the top kicker so far this season with 68 points in six games. Behind Rackers, there's nothing spectacular to speak of, with Iowa PK Josh Brown, Novato PK Jason Elam and Washington PK Jeff Wilkins each just above the 50-point mark after seven starts.
