My predictions

First Round Casper - WR or RB Nov - WR or QB Port - RB S.Bend - QB DET - RB NC- RB I - QB AZ - RB Me - No Clue Why? I think QB's are overlooked but that will change this year. You have a player like Brees who throws for 34 TD's and Runs for 2 more. That equates to 148 points not including points for yards etc. You have a RB or WR who scores 16 TD's and that equates to 96 points not including yards. If you look at the Flamingos who with 3 RB's all season, scored an impressive 155 points all season from the RB position as compared to 99 points from his QB and 125 points from WR. So what is more important this year knowing that 5 of the top 10 running backs are already gone? I think round 1 will be different this year....there is a big drop off in QB from the top 8...huge. So I think QB's are going to go pretty quick. But I have not had a winning season in YEARS so what the heck do I know LOL!

Patrick, you picked the early first round perfectly. Backs are going to go fast. The only thing I see as suprising in the first round is Casper's first selection of Plaxico Burress. I think he is just about in football shape. He should be a fine addition to the Big Dogs.

Draft 2010 Predictions?

Just about a week left before the draft and Casper has the first pick. With Peyton in place, I'm still leaning toward the Big Dogs selecting a back, even with LeSean McCoy on the roster. Novato has the next pick, but has two running backs. Seems a little early to go with a QB at that spot, but I'm sure Craig has his eye on a rookie somewhere in there. Regardless of what happens there, I expect the Pirates to grab a back with their pick. Anyone else have a guess?

The San Diego Storm would like to congratulate the Florida Flamingos on a fantastic season. Apparently half of the Storm's lineup was hungover from all of the parties leading up to the title game and failed to show up. Storm management is now banging their heads on their desks and shoving dull pencils in their eyes as they send this message out. There is always next year!

Apparently, the stats don't lie. Nine of the previous 12 players that have graced the cover of the Madden football title from EA Sports have either been injured or have seen their production drop dramatically the following year. Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu suffered the effects in the opener, spraining the MCL in his left knee. Now we await the outcome for the other half of the first cover to feature two players, with WR Larry Fitzgerald hoping to avoid a similar fate.

That means someone in Minnesota is the odd man out, although if he's healthy enough to play Favre should make the receivers look better. Now the question is... will the Quasimodos draft him?

I can see it now... McNabb goes down midseason, Vick steps in and everytime Vicks makes a good play the Philly fans chant "woof, woof, woof!" Ron Mexico is back, at least for now, but those Philly fans are a grumpy bunch and as soon as he gives them something to growl at, they'll bite him in the butt.

Is Vick worth picking?

Now that Michael Vick has found a home in Philly is he worth taking in the draft? My answer: No. He's at best the 2nd option behind McNabb and he can't play for at least the first six weeks. At best, he might be worth a late round flyer, but with the roster limits I don't think he has enough upside to make that worthwhile.
